Five-point nights from both Brendan Mykle-Winkler (three goals, two assists) and Bryce Brochu (two goals, three assists) helped the Langley Junior Thunder to a 10-7 victory.

The Thunder were hosting the Port Coquitlam Junior Saints at the Langley Events Centre on June 12. The win improved Langley to 4-11-1 in the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League.

The teams were tied at one early in the game before Langley scored four straight goals to take the lead for good. The Thunder led 5-2 after one period and extended the advantage to 8-2 at one point.

The Saints got within three goals early in the third period, but that was as close as they would get.

Riley Glemnitz (two goals, two assists) and Duston Doudelet (one goal, three assists) both had four-point games while James Rahe (one goal, one assist) and Tyler Rutherford (one goal) rounded out the scoring.

Steven Mayervich stopped 47 shots as Langley was outshot 54-53.

The Thunder are back in action when they visit the Saints at the PoCo Rec Centre on June 20.
