Sam Ready is ready to suit up for Basketball BC.

Ready, a six-foot-two forward, was named to the U14 boys roster for this summer.

Ready is going into Grade 9 at Brookswood Secondary.

He is one of six basketball players from Langley to be named to one of Basketball BC's age-group rosters for the summer.

Andrew Goertzen and Brett Christenen are on U15 squads — there are two boys' U15 teams and each is on one — while Daniel Stead is on the U16 team. And Tyler Anderson and Bryce Derton are on the U17 squad.

All five are from Walnut Grove Secondary.
