A pitching gem from Steven Federau helped the Langley Senior Blaze exact some revenge with a 2-0 victory over the Burnaby Bulldogs.

Federau struck out eight in the complete game shutout, allowing just three hits over the seven innings at McLeod Park on July 2 in Pacific Metro Baseball League action. Langley improved to 5-1 with the win.

Louis Boyd and Bob Foerster had an RBI apiece.

The Bulldogs had won the Grand Forks International Tournament earlier in the week, a tournament where the Blaze also took part.

Langley had a good start to the tournament, winning 9-1 over the Lacey Saints and 3-0 over the Parkland White Sox.

But the Blaze dropped their next two games, losing 5-3 to the Northwest Honkers and 6-3 to the Everett Merchants.
