Roman, Bauder rowing for Canada

A pair of Langley rowers are helping Canada go for the gold at the world rowing championships.

Lisa Roman has been named to Rowing Canada’s women’s eight squad while Kristin Bauder is on the women’s four team.

The pair have been training out of the Western Rowing Club out of London, Ont.

They will compete in their respective events at the world championships, which run Aug. 24 to 31 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The event will be held on the storied Bosbaan, the world’s oldest man-made rowing course.
