The UFV Cascades took top spot at the 10th annual Centrecourt Hoopfest over the weekend.

The Cascades downed the Van City Grizz 77-48 in the finals on Aug. 17 at the Langley Events Centre.

It was the second straight year UFV won the women's division at the tournament.

Leading the way was UFV's Katie Brink, who picked up most valuable player honours.

Charan Randhawa and Jessica Jazhardee of the Van City Grizz, UFV's Kendra Arnold, Samantha Kelleigh of the Eagles and AE Young's Maryn Budiman made the all-star team.
