The Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has won a $7,000 design makeover.
On June 2, the non-profit organization was announced the recipient of the inaugural Design for Growth contest, an initiative by Christie Wengranowski of Flying Horse Design Studio to give a design makeover to a deserving community organization.
The prize includes a new logo, video, custom photography, and a marketing consultation with sponsors such as Flying Horse Design Studio, Spiro Creative, Ray Urner Photography and Jelly Digital Marketing & PR.
“The Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary stood out as an exceptionally deserving candidate for the contest as they celebrated their 70th Anniversary in 2017 and their service dates all the way back to WWI when its original member groups assembled to sew bandages for the war effort,” a press release states.
“Various small community groups came together over the years to form the current organization and they help to raise funds for the hospital as well as provide volunteer services. With no paid staff and 100 per cent of their funds going towards much needed hospital and community health equipment, Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will receive the design services they need to modernize and promote their services to better generate funds/donations and volunteer interest.”
