Thrill the World Surrey takes place Oct. 29 in Cloverdale.

Calling all zombies

Re-enact Michael Jackson's Thriller video dance on Oct. 29 in Cloverdale.

Dancers and zombie-wannabes are invited to the Thrill the World Surrey event in Cloverdale on Oct. 29.

Participants of all ages and dance levels will re-enact the Michael Jackson’s 1982 Thriller video – at the same time as simultaneous dances around the world.

The event originally launched in 2006 with 62 zombies at “Thrill Toronto,” which expanded in the following years.

Last year, more than 6,000 zombies in 22 countries took part, breaking a world record.

The event takes place from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Cloverdale Youth Park across from the Cloverdale Recreation Centre (6188 176 St.) Thrill time is 3 p.m. sharp.

The event is also collecting for the Surrey Food Bank.

Learn the dance from watching the original video (below) or at http://www.thrilltheworldsurrey.com/
