Can Langley eat the most Pirate Paks for a fourth year in a row?

Adult Pirate Pak Day at White Spot is Aug. 9, with proceeds going to Zajac Ranch

Ahoy Langley Mateys. Can Langley take top spot for the fourth year in a row for White Spot’s Pirate Pak day?

Pirate Pak Day returns Aug. 9 and for the past several years, the Langley White Spot location on Fraser Highway has sold the most adult Pirate Paks of all of White Spot’s 62 locations in B.C.

Last year’s event saw a record 52,874 Pirate Paks sold, with the Fraser Highway Langley restaurant selling the most iconic boats, at nearly 3,000 paks sold.

A toonie from every adult Pirate Pak goes to the Zajac Ranch for Children.

All 62 White Spot locations will participate in the eighth annual fundraiser that has seen a total of $555,748 raised since its inception, sending more than 370 kids to camp.

The ranch runs its camp from Aug. 14 to 18 each year and includes kayaking, swimming and horseback riding.

“Our long-standing partnership with White Spot provides a direct benefit to kids with medical needs,” says Mel Zajac, founder of Zajac Ranch for Children. “Each year, we are grateful for White Spot’s Pirate Pak Day fundraiser, which helps provide life-changing summer camp experiences for children in B.C. and across Canada. I encourage everyone to enjoy a Pirate Pak on August 9, so that as many deserving kids as possible can experience summer camp.”

The annual event is one staff at White Spot look forward to even if it is really busy.

“Pirate Pak Day is a big fundraising event for us, one that both our guests and staff look forward to every year,” says White Spot President Warren Erhart. “Money raised on this special day helps young mateys facing difficult challenges, and wouldn’t be possible without the participation of our valued guests. Everyone embraces the spirit of the day with both staff and guests alike donning their swashbuckling best for the occasion.”

On Aug. 9 only, Adult the Pirate Pak menu is available for both dine-in and take-out.

• Legendary Burger – a classic!
