Fall festivities at Langley’s Harvest Glow

Milner Village Garden Centre transforms into a fall-inspired light festival.

From perfect pumpkins to aesthetic photo backdrops, Greater Vancouver’s largest indoor fall festival is an event suited to the whole family.

And better yet, it is easily accessible for Langley residents since it’s located at the Milner Village Garden Centre at 6690 216 St. in Langley.

After the success of Glow Christmas in 2017, Darvonda Nurseries, which operates Milner Village Garden Centre, has converted their greenhouses into a dazzling fall-inspired attraction.

Darvonda Nurseries CEO, Lawrence Jansen, said Harvest Glow carries on the tradition of bringing communities together during fun times of the year.

“The features of Harvest Glow are inspired by our own family fall adventures. In fact, our kids and nieces and nephews have all been on site while we built it, making sure everything passes the fun test.”

Harvest Glow is a 95,000 square foot festival filled with a pumpkin patch, corn maze, mini golf, food vendors and children’s activities.

Since the event is indoors, visitors don’t need to worry about cold or wet weather.

Visitors can expect to see oversized glowing swings, a towering pumpkin tree and a pumpkin carriage.

To get into the Halloween spirit, Harvest Glow is hosting a costume contest from Oct. 26-31. Guests are invited to take a photo at Harvest Glow in their costume and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #harvestglow for a chance to win passes to the upcoming Christmas Glow.

On Halloween night, Harvest Glow invites kids to bring their loot bags for trick-or-treating.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Langley School District Foundation, Surrey Cares Community Foundation, Breakfast Club of Canada and Compassion.

The Jansen family takes pride in bringing together families and neighbours with Harvest Glow and Christmas Glow, which is also hosted at the Milner Village Garden Centre from Nov. 22 to Jan. 19.

Harvest Glow runs from Sept. 27 to Oct 31.
