Family business helps women celebrate their curves

Since founding Fashion Addition 14 Plus in 1987, Langley’s Marilyn and Bill Booth have changed fashion choices for the Lower Mainland’s plus-sized woman.

While growing to an amazing seven stores, they stayed loyal to their Langley roots, moving their flagship store to a bright and spacious Langley Crossing location, to the delight of customers.

The Booths’ daughter, Kerri, has been involved in Fashion Addition from the beginning.

“I remember sitting around the dinner table listening to my parents’ business idea and coming up with the name. I worked in the office in the summers on break from university. I helped run the cash register for their busy Boxing Day sales,” Kerri says. “I loved the new fashions and I particularly enjoyed merchandising the store to tell a story. Our loyal customers tell us it’s eye-catching!” she says.

More than a decade ago, Kerri took that experience to a new level, becoming the company’s buyer.

“After spending 15 years listening to the customers’ wants, likes and needs, and discovering what styles worked and what didn’t, I’ve enjoyed working side by side with our manufacturers and creating lines that I know our customers will love.

“Our original vision and passion has stood firm – delivering beautiful, quality fashions and celebrating all your curves. We feel blessed to have seven locations 30 years later and it’s all because of the amazing customers who walk through our door everyday.”

Thank you to shoppers!

Visit Fashion Addition’s Langley location, #308 6339-200th St., Saturday, July 15 and be sure to enter the big $15,000 product and gift card draw, and enjoy a host of other surprises.

“We send a big shout-out to our amazing manufacturers who have helped make this a not-to-be-missed event!” Kerri says.
