Warning issued for Lower Mainland

Heavy fog rolled into Metro Vancouver early Sunday morning.

Environment Canada issued a fog advisory Langley and the rest of the Lower Mainland.

Near zero visibility in fog was expected or occurring, the agency said.

“Widespread fog has developed in Metro Vancouver giving poor visibility this morning, ” an online statement warned.

“The fog was forecast to become patchy later in the morning.

Fog advisories are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.

Drivers were advised to exercise caution.
