Andrew “Kee” Joseph STROM

STROM, Andrew “Kee” Joseph, born July 5, 1926 in Wood Mountain, Sask. passed peacefully in Surrey, B.C. on April 23, 2003, with his wife, Myril and daughter, Jacqueline Jensen of Hinton, Alta, by his side. Predeceased by son, William Strom in 2001, brothers Stanley in 1954 and Conrad in 2003. He will be missed by his sisters Evelyn Kerzner (Vancouver) & Dolly (& Len) Cassie (Oakville, Sask), his grandchildren, Ernie Strom (Brooks, Alta.), Bill (& Jean) Strom (Warren, Man.) & Cherese (& Sean) Brassard (Hinton, Alta), his great-grandchildren, Allison Strom (Warren, Alta) & Cassidy Brassard (Hinton, Alta.) Andy served in the Armed Forces for 21 years, travelling to Korea, Egypt, Germany, Japan & the North Pole and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Whalley Branch #229. He was then employed as a sheet-metal worker for Nickelson in Vancouver, and later as a mail carrier for Canada Post in Surrey. Andy survived a stroke in 1991 and became involved in the Surrey Stroke Recovery Group, the Come Share Society and with his crib playing buddies at the Clubhouse. Cremation.
