Dodie was born in Vancouver on June 25, 1924, and was raised in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver.
For many years, Dodie worked at BC Tel, and it was there that she met her good friend Mary, who introduced her to Bob. Bob and Dodie were married in 1948 and settled in Langley in 1954, where many great friendships were forged. Dodie worked as a secretary with the Langley School Board, working at the Board Office, Langley
Central and then Blacklock until her
retirement in 1984.
Dodie was an active member of the Langley Lady Lions Club, having been a member since coming to Langley.
After retirement she enjoyed the Tuesday Ladies Golf, helping at the Baby Clinic and many bridge parties.
Her faith in God and her many church friends from St. Andrews were always an important part of her life.
Thank you to the LMH Emergency and 2 South staff for your help and kindness. Special thanks to the Hunter family and the Sturmey Road neighbours for many years of friendship and support.
A memorial service will be held on
Saturday, July 5 at 11 am at St.
Andrews Anglican Church, 20955 Old Yale Road, Langley.
