SCHELLENBERG, George (the Cobbler). Born September 28, 1924 in Southern Russia and immigrated to Canada as an infant; passed away peacefully on September 6, 2008. He leaves to mourn: his wife, Kay, sons, Ken, Bruce, Stephen and David, daughters Kathryn, Christine and
Patty, sons-in-law Gary and Steve and grandson Robbie. He is predeceased by: daughter Barbara, parents Sarah and David Schellenberg, sister Tina, brothers Henry and Edward. George has lived and worked in Langley since 1956. He opened a shoe repair business in Dennis Linwood’s store in 1958. In 1978, he opened the current George the Cobbler shop at 5574-204th Street, it celebrated its 30th anniversary in June 2008. Services will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley B.C. on
September 17, 2008 at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Murrayville Cemetery on 216th, followed by refreshments at the funeral home. The family wishes to
