MCKIM, Shannon Marie, was born July 11, 1962 in Vancouver. She grew up in the Lower Mainland and resided in White Rock until her passing August 19, 2006.
She leaves behind her loving husband Frazer, their dog Min, her mom and dad (Kathy & Gordie), her father (Don), two sons Mark (Nicole), David, and her three brothers Gord (Ev), Tom (Pat), Jim (Louvi) and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
Shannon was faced with many challenges throughout her life and was able to overcome them. She was a gentle caring soul who touched many lives. Her smile, the twinkle in her eye and her little giggle that filled the room will be missed. Shannon enjoyed fmaily gatherings and her warm heart-filled laughter could be heard on many occasions. Shan was a thoughtful, giving wife, mom, daughter, cousin, aunt and friend. She loved going for walks with Frazer and Min, the simple things in life.
Shannon’s unconditional love for her two sons, Mark and David, was shown throughout her life and through the endless support and encouragement she gave them. She was involved and supported her boys in their athletic activities. She was very proud of their accomplishments.
She will be missed by all of us whose lives she has touched so deeply and the memory of her will be in our heart forever. Now may she rest in peace.
