Trudy MACTAVISH

MACTAVISH, Trudy (Yvonne) nee: Trudel. July 18, 1935 to August 26, 2008. It is with great sadness that we announce we have lost our mother, but it is also with great relief that her suffering has ended. Predeceased by her husband Don MacTavish (2002). She is survived by her sister Roma Chagnon and brother Elie Trudel; children, Donna Buxton (John) and Brad MacTavish and the loves of her life, the grandchildren; Matt Buxton, Kristi MacTavish, Chelsea Buxton and Michael MacTavish. No words can express our loss. Her long time friends and new found companions must all be thanked for making the last years of moms life so full. Mom moved to False Creek after the loss of dad and found a second chance at life. She had some very dear old friends and a batch of new and special friends that kept her so busy that the last years of her life could not have been better. Mom (and her friends) did their best to keep City Hall, Victoria and Ottawa, on their toes. If she saw an injustice, god help the politicians, their mail box would stay full until the problem was solved. The last days of Moms life ended in the St. James Cottage Hospice. The care she received was so full of kindness and dignity that she actually loved being there. We are a private family and flowers are not required. If you feel so compelled, in lieu of flowers make a donation to the St. James Cottage Hospice 650 N. Penticton Street, Vancouver, B.C. V5K 3L8. Mom would like that!
