Editor: I have to say the fellows playing the bagpipes and bugle at this year’s Douglas Park Remembrance Day service were the best I have heard yet.
The bugle in particular must be very tricky to keep in tune and it was perfect with beautiful vibrato.
It’s wonderful that so many folks turn out year after year. Also, it’s nice to see the dogs in attendance. I always have two poppies, one for our human comrades, and the other for the animals that gave their lives.
