Callies an all-star

Midfielder Reece Callies earned an all-star award for his play as he helped Team B.C. win gold at the U16 Alumni Cup national championships.

The tournament was held in Burnaby Sept. 2-4 and B.C. defeated Ontario 11-10 for top spot.

The B.C. team also featured Langley’s Johnny Pearson.

B.C.’s U19 team was not as fortunate, falling 13-12 to Ontario in the gold medal game.

That team featured Langley’s Brandon Bull and Will Vandenhooven and Aldergrove’s James Rahe.
