The Fraser Valley Fusion are off to the national championships.

The 94 girls fastpitch team earned their spot at the tournament despite playing up an age level in the midget U19 division.

The week-long tournament takes place Aug. 14-21 at the John Blumberg Softball Complex in Winnipeg.

The Fusion are looking for donations or sponsorship to help off-set their expenses.

The team’s roster consists of Lauren Iverson, Danica Kump, Jessica MacLeod, Jessica Giner, Megan Shurey, Nicole Ratel, Katie Young, Paige Rutledge, Rebecca Morgan, Jaymie White, Alexandra Carl, Amanda Duffield and Erin Frinsksie.
