Rebels no match for Warriors

Langley senior B lacrossse team returns to win column with strong defensive effort

A season-best defensive effort helped the Langley Warriors return to the win column.

The Warriors held the Valley Rebels to three goals — one in each period — in an 11-3 victory on Tuesday (June 20) at Abbotsford’s MSA Arena in West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association action.

Bryan Poole (three goals, two assists), Tanner Olsen (three goals, one assist) and Nathan Henare (three goals) all had hat tricks while Kerry Susheski (two goals, two assists) an Derek Lowe (three assists) both had multi-point games.

Joe Bell made 40 saves for the victory as Langley improved to 7-3-0-1.

The Warriors are back in action on July 6 when they face the Ladner Pioneers. The two senior B teams are separated by one point for top spot with Langley holding the advantage. Ladner does have three games in hand.
