The Langley Jr. Blaze offence was smoking as they walloped the host Parksville Jr. Royals by a combined score of 28-2.
The U16 baseball teams met at Parksville’s Royals Field for a doubleheader on Saturday.
Langley won the opener 12-2 with Tyler O’Neill driving in four runs and Mitchell Robinson bringing home another three.
Robinson also scored three times, while Cody Faulkner went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring twice.
Liam Stroud picked up the win, and he combined with Michael Dagg on a four-hitter.
The second game was over early, with Langley scoring 14 runs in the first three innings, while the Royals responded with just one run on two hits.
Aaron Mantle also struck out nine Parkville batters and the lone run to score was unearned.
The Blaze took advantage of five Royals errors to score eight unearned runs.
Mike Billows had three RBIs, while Preston Kokatailo, Robinson and Dagg drove in two apiece.
Langley (25-7) is back in action on Wednesday (June 15) when they host the Abbotsford Jr. Cardinals (12-9) at McLeod Park.
