Langley junior A hockey club has allowed three goals during winning streak

Satchel Clendenin scored a pair of first-period goals as the Langley Rivermen won a season-high third straight game.

Clendenin scored goals less than nine minutes apart as the Rivermen edged the visiting Merritt Centennials 2-1 in junior A BC Hockey League action at the George Preston Recreation Centre on Tuesday (Dec. 13).

The Rivermen have won their past three games allowing just three goals in the process. They have also won four of five contests this month to improve to 14-14-13-2 and fourth place in the BCHL’s Mainland Division.

Bo Didur — who has been in goal for all three victories — stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced.

The Rivermen host the Chilliwack Chiefs tonight (Dec. 14) before playing in Merritt on Saturday (Dec. 17) in the team’s final game before the holiday break.
